What Are Omega 3s?
Omega 3 fatty acids play a vital role in maintaining heart health and brain function for people of all ages. They are healthy fats that need to be consumed in our dietary intake. They can have a range of positive health benefits such as assist with reduced cholesterol and heart disease risk, improve hormone health and reduce inflammation. They are also important during fertility and pregnancy for normal growth and development of the baby and health of the mother. Our body cannot produce omega-3 fatty acids for itself, which means we must rely on good nutrition to ensure we have an adequate intake.
Who Should Take The Test?
The Omega 3 test can help a variety of people. It is recommended for those who are not eating a variety of nutritious foods, those who have chronic health conditions, are trying to conceive, or experiencing fertility issues, are pregnant, breastfeeding, vegans/vegetarians or have dietary restrictions.
How Does It Work?
This is a quick finger prick test that it is performed during your consultation and it assesses your nutritional fatty acid level in your blood. I can provide personalised eating and nutrition recommendations based on the test results.
